F.A.Q.s

Who?
Diana Mattes is an established wife, mother and professional who is behind the concept of Scoutyspice.com.

What?
Scoutyspice.com is a website where you can find inspiration and help to look and feel your best. Scoutyspice was born out of a need for a more streamlined approach to personal appearance for the established professional and like-minded individuals.

Why?
Unknowingly you might be dating yourself. Why? If you started wearing makeup more than 20 years ago, then you might need to update your look. Many women are still applying their cosmetics the same way as they have done for decades. Realistically, we cannot get younger, but we can look fresh and current, making the most of our features. First impressions count, so how you look is important.

Where?
Scoutyspice.com is based in the US. Diana Mattes works out of Orange County, California.

When?
Scoutyspice.com is available whenever you are. Diana Mattes is available by appointment, see the contact form to get in touch.

How?
The focus here is using skin care and cosmetics to look fresh and feel our best. Additional information is posted that can be considered to maximize your potential to look fresh and feel your best. Scoutyspice.com tries to keep in mind that not everyone has the same budget. That is why you will find simple, practical, streamlined approaches toward the goal of looking your best. Less products means more time and money saved.

Hit Contact and send an email.

Is this an ‘over—40’ website?
The concept of Scoutyspice.com is geared toward the ‘over—40’ crowd because there is a need for a streamlined beauty approach for this demographic. But, really, anyone who wants to look professional without being too trendy can benefit from the guidance that Scoutyspice.com offers. Basically, if you identify with much of the information here, then welcome, and enjoy!

Some things I’ve read here, seem to contradict other MUAs (makeup artists) opinions, why is that?
There are different kinds of MUAs. Many well-known MUAs do editioral work (think ‘fantasy’ looks on super-models), and this does not translate well into the work-place or for the established professional. Like any artist, you want to do your best work, and for MUAs their optimal canvas is a youthful model. It showcases their work best. Scoutyspice.com strives to offer realistic alternatives for the established professional and like-minded women.

Why are the ‘looks’ offered on Scoutyspice.com so ‘safe’ and almost ‘boring’?
Remember that cosmetic companies cater to their largest consumer base—young women, so you will find many of the looks and models of these companies are youthful, nightlife-type makeup, for their photo shoots. These looks do translate very well in the workplace or may even not be appropriate for many established professionals.

I can’t find anything in when I hit the Shop tab, why?
Scoutyspice.com is still growing, and we hope to offer some products as soon as possible.
